My new cell phone

Filed under: Food for thought for friends — Alec @ 8:50 am

I have a new Apple Iphone.   It is not simple for me, I do not understand it, but I am gradually learning it as I force myself to use it.  We don’t always understand things, but if we force ourselves to explore new ideas, they become real.   Faith, life and my cell phone are not easy, but they all work.   God’s grace forgives us!

I constantly force myself to try new things.    As I become older, it is mentally hard when things continue to change at a very rapid rate.   So, my philosophy is to keep up,  force yourself to change.   99% of the time,  it is OK.

6 months after Prostate cancer surgery

Filed under: Food for thought for friends — Alec @ 2:40 pm

I have felt so well that I have neglected updating my blog.  Prior to surgery I was taking testosterone,  I am now back on a smaller dose and 12.5 mg of thyroid stuff.    I have a lot more energy than prior.    Yes,  I continue to do my kegel’s and weigh my daily pads.    If I knew how to attach a chart ,  I could show you that kegel’s and grams are inversely related,  almost any level of Kegel’s.    I have increased my Kegel’s to 4 sets of 15 for 10 seconds and my grams per day the last week is 3.5.   Or maybe that is just perspiration.    I am really thinking about going without.    Wow,  big step.

Too bad I did not start collecting data sooner.  But I see a direct correlation to kegel’s almost independent of number,  Just do them.     However,  when I started,  the first several months,  I saw little results until I started doing 30 or 40 a day and holding for a full 10 seconds.    I also do several different types,  Like exercising any muscle.   So,  I do quick isometric kegels,  I do 10 second kegels, I also do ladders, and I do some light kegels, some very tight kegels.   It seems to be working.

Wishing you well.
